Feature

1) Separable RF Unit
RF unit of GIGATRA is separable from the main unit. If you set RF unit near external antenna, you can operate in shack without RF cable loss.
In microwave bands, RF cable loss is a fatal issue. Shortness RF cable causes to reduce RF cable loss, so that systematically sensitivity comes up and transmission power can be use efficiently.
The cable between main unit and RF unit can be use cable for LAN (local area network). The length of the cable can be up to 40 meter.
This feature may be useful , in case you want to use GIGATRA in your shack, or in case you want to use high gain antenna.

2) Changeable RF Unit
RF unit of GIGATRA is changeable to unit for other band. If you change RF unit, you can use other band.　
MusenKoubou is planning 1200 MHz and 5600 MHz RF unit for GIGATRA. However now only 2400 MHz is available. Sorry!

3) Big LCD
GIGATRA has a big LCD (100 dots x 64 dots). It shows many indication together.

4) 2 Way power supply
GIGATRA can work with built-in battery (4 pieces of AA type) or external DC power supply (7V - 13.8V). You can chose power supply by situation.

5) Repeater compatible
GIGATRA has repeater mode. Tone for repeater is selectable from 88.5 Hz and 77.0 Hz. In repeater mode, frequency shifts -20 MHz automatically in case to transmit.

6) Spectrum Analyzer mode
GIGATRA has spectrum analyzer mode. It shows signal strength of neighbor frequencies by bar graph.

7) Battery Voltage Indicator
Battery Voltage Indicator shows voltage of built-in battery. It informs you roughly remained capacity of battery.

8) VXO
VXO shifts frequency for transmitting and receiving. You can adjust fine frequency.

9) RIT
RIT shifts frequency for only receiving. Transmitting frequency is kept by 20 KHz step.

10) Retune indicator
Retune indicator shows frequency difference between talker and your receiver. When indication bar comes to center, receiver is tuning best frequency. You can tune easily by using retune indicator with VXO or RIT.

11) Key lock
"Key lock mode" disables keys function, so that it prevents miss operation.

12) Connector for options
GIGATRA has the connector for options. It is reserved for extension in the future. MusenKoubou will provide some options for extension.
